Can you have another word for Pink?

I have been in the region for quite a while.
And oftentimes with the busy metro life , there's this tendency to shut some things readily available around. Though, I have to say, the city lights never cease to amaze me as I take that Business Bay.

Recently chanced upon Pink Ribbons and the like.
And this thing in me just can't help but be curious about it.
Then I learned that these were support ribbons, for a good cause.

October is breast cancer awareness month.
And this coming week these handmade pink and all that glitter ribbons are going to be hand out at
Arte Souk.
We are so fortunate that we already have this events in Dubai, gone are the days when
you still have to connect and reconnect to friends and collegue just to get informations.

Bras for a Cause.
This is a design competition in the gulf to support breast cancer survivors.
Though this event is going to happen in Beirut, it still indeed is in good ground to promote not just awareness but amazing designs to support women.
And in the U.A.E the proceeds will go to breast friends.


Do you know that in 2010, there were about 250 breast cancer survivors in the U.A.E. alone?
This figure is something we really have to be serious about.
Anyone can survive breast cancer, that is why women who testify that it can be, has the
calling and mission to make women not just not in the region but into the world to have the awareness to it. And I believe we ought to be responsive to it.


So go out this October and get that lovely pink ribbon or better yet join the Pink Walkathon.
